Join us at our annual workshop to learn how to use your local resources to enrich your creative
writing, in particular resources such as, local culture and folkway, oral histories, museums and
written and oral archives.
Historian , Evaliza Fuentes, will be in the Rio Grande Valley to share her extensive knowledge and experience of the local folkway, culture, and resources at a workshop hosted by the Valley Byliners, a non-profit writers organization.
This workshop is invaluable to writers, authors, and artists, as she will share,with attendees, how to use local unconventional resources to gain knowledge about the history of the valley and its unique culture. The invaluable information which will enhance and enrich creative writing and provide historical information for non-fiction or journal writing.
EvaLiza Fuentes graduate studies include research in “Musica Tejana” and her expertise involves much related coursework and relevant experiences which are invaluable.
