"Keeping  the Stories Alive" 

Guest speaker Pat Avery will tell how she

uses storytelling  techniques to bring real  history alive. In her extensive work in the military market, she has researched,  interviewed and written about individuals who played a role in WWII, Korea,  Vietnam and more recent wars. In both her nonfiction and fiction titles, she  focuses on making the characters real.

 

The Valley Byliners,  a writers support group, meets on second Saturdays at

the Harlingen Public  Library, 410  ’76 Dr.

01/21/12— Laurel’s Book Signing at Jackson Street Antiques

Laurel's book signing for Sat. Jan. 21st from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM  at Jackson Street Antiques.

The store is located at 207 W. Jackson St. between Commerce and A Streets on the south side of Jackson in downtown Harlingen.

 

The owners, Leo and Carmen Garza, will be providing coffee, hot chocolate and cookies for refreshments.
