Text Box: New Book Release!!!

The Byliners’ last book Tales Told at Midnight Along the Rio Grande was edited by Mona Sizer and published in 2006. To date, over 1000 copies have been sold world-wide.

Recently, the Byliners published a sequel, Collected Tales From the Rio Grande. Edited by Don Clifford, the book was released at the May 8th Byliners meeting.

Description: Nestled between Jack King’s vivid cover and Janet Wilder’s nostalgic back-cover photo, lie 236 pages of fictional stories and insightful poems about the Valley. The day I brought home my copy of Collected Tales . . ., I couldn’t pry my husband Bruce away from it. Justifying his reluctance to take time to eat supper, he said, “There’s good stuff in here!”

Text Box: Election Results

Nominations and election of officers occurred next. Clifford remains as president; Hugh Barlow as VP for publicity and Newsletter production; Brenda Riojas as VP for programs and special events; Jack King and Marianna Nelson as Board Members. Verne Wheelwright consented to act as Treasurer until a permanent replacement is found. All will assume their new duties beginning in June. Congratulations to all new officers. Here is an opportunity to be a real asset to the Club.
